Executive or Close Protection
Mantos International, Inc. specializes in providing close
protection services, also known as executive or VIP protective services,
and in some circles "executive security".
Prevention & Good Planning: The heart of close protection is prevention and good planning. Our goals are simple. 1) Avoid possible threats before they turn into a crisis moment that could harm our client. 2) Plan ahead. There is no way to totally eliminate risk, but we don't wait for the problems to occur. We work hard to plan ahead so we can manage the risk to acceptable levels. 3) If #1 and #2 fail, and potential harm presents itself, then our job is to protect and get our client out of harms way as quickly as possible. The industry term is "cover and evacuate". Note: It is not our job to go after or arrest the "bad guys". We are not law enforcement. We have no arrest powers. Nor is it our job to stand toe to toe and duke it out. Our job is to keep you safe. 4) If all else fails, and it is impossible to get our client to safety, then and only then do we take decisive action, to stop the threat from harming our clients.
How exactly we deploy your protection is based on an analysis of your needs by doing what we call a threat assessment combined with your desirability for High or Low profile deployment.
This type of "bouncer" mentality protection is ill advised. This old style was totally a "reactive" style. There is little or no avoidance, or planning. This style of "bodyguard" often escalates potential conflicts unnecessarily.

The industry has advanced to the point where an operative must embody much more than an intimidating physical demeanor. In fact nearly all of our situations we encounter do no want or desire such, but just the opposite. They want someone to blend in. High Profile Protection is normally for High threat level protection and a few Hollywood celebrities who expect it. Most protection details today are low profile in nature. The client wants discretion. Often our teams include a female, who looks more like a personal secretary than a gun toting bodyguard. Today's protection specialist must possess a level of decorum and ability to integrate in some very sophisticated settings.
